My love of ancient cultures began when I was 12 years old. In my early adult life, I took a long detour through the world of computer aided design, but my passion for ancient cultures never ceased so I went on to get my bachelor's degree in Religion and master's degree in Ancient Biblical Civilizations. I am currently working on independent research while seeking research, writing, and consultation projects in the fields of religion and history.

Phoenix Feather Books & Curios is my new online store specializing in antique and used books, antiques, and history related gifts and artwork.  Eventually, I am planning on making this an enchanting brick and mortar store in the (hopefully near) future.

Journal of Tales is a media project in which I create educational and entertaining videos about history and religion, as well as about historical sites and cultural events I visit during my travels.  Additionally, I started a free quarterly newsletter for Journal of Tales.  To subscribe, please email journaoftales@gmail.com

I also have an apparel and gift shop on Redbubble, which specializes in gifts for lovers of history, travel, nature, and vintage. (All designs are created using my own photography and/or art and artifacts found in the public domain.)

I live in Maryland and I have two amazing children - Kason and Dominic! Kason is a talented artist and plays a lot of Minecraft. Dominic loves gaming and anime. We also have 4 pets: X (our 3 legged black cat who will live forever), Cheetah (our fat, spoiled princess cat), and Faelan (our sweet, clumsy blue heeler puppy).

I love traveling, hiking, photography, and watching documentaries on everything from astrophysics to zoology.
